Commerce International: Who are the clients of Camerus?
Christine Atzémis: We specialise in furniture rental for expos, conferences, fairs… For events in general, to sum it up. Our clients are therefore events organisers. Our partners include Reed Exposition, Comexposium, the Mondial de l’Auto (the Paris Motor Show), the Salon Mondial de l’Aéronautique (the Paris Air Show) for which we are the official supplier, as well as the World Economic Forum in Davos… We sign yearly contracts with organisers, allowing us to also rent out furniture to exhibitors.
Do you have an international presence?
We follow some of our clients abroad, such as Peugeot, but mainly in Europe. Through this channel, we go to Belgium, Germany, Spain and Italy …
What type of services do you offer?
We respond to issues in furniture equipment, general installation, stand delivery, whatever the size of the order and the period of the year. We provide a very comprehensive panel of services, right up to the top of the range, as is the case for the Film Festival. In any case, in the one expo, one needs to have the means to furnish a basic stand with a table and three chairs, as well as deck out a VIP space with stylish quality equipment. Our catalogue holds no less than 700 references, and thanks to the size of our stock and the integrated organisation we have set up, we are capable of meeting our clients’ needs in a highly reactive manner. And when it comes to large-scale contracts, we sometimes make special furniture orders in order to meet a specific design. This is what we did for the Who’s Next expo, where we set up two whole villages. We are also sufficiently close to our clients to make proposals if they so desire.
How do you keep up with the latest furniture trends?
Every year we go to the Milan furniture expo, which is really THE reference in the metier. This is where many trends are born. Going here allows us to discover the latest innovations in terms of colours, materials and shapes, and thus, to anticipate our clients’ requests.
Do you deliver the furniture that you rent out?
Yes, we have our own fleet for this purpose, including 23 semitrailers, 4 tractors, 2 heavy-goods trucks and 4 light vehicles. On each of our missions, we send out a specialised team, with an expo manager, assistants for these team leaders, and handlers. It is very important for us to control the whole of the services chain, from the order to the recovery of equipment.
What is the strength of Camerus?
Our experience is undoubtedly our greatest strength: our image is well-known and recognised amongst professionals in the metier. We have been working with most of clients for many years, and as a result, we maintain trust-based relationships with them. The quality of our furniture is also renowned, we delivery furniture in sound and impeccably clean condition. Every year, we invest significant sums in buying new furniture, and replacing or repairing products when necessary. Our punctuality is all the more appreciated as deadlines in this profession are tighter and tighter. We really listen to our clients. In short, we manage to keep our leader position despite the arrival of new competitors.
