CCIs can help you to set up, take over or hand over a company. This is the core message of the web campaign "Bonne résolution 2012" (Good Resolution 2012), launched on 9 January by the association CCI Entreprendre en France (CCIEF), representing the business creation-takeover services of French Chambers of Commerce. Until 12 February, a minisite will guide project owners in their plans, via forums, testimonies as well as press cuttings. The campaign is being run according the rhythm of one theme per week: personality, idea, competition, product, project feasibility. “The objective is not to accelerate business creation projects, but to accompany owners in their thinking. Should I keep going? Am I motivated enough? This is the type of question that one might wonder about when thinking about setting up or taking over a business,” explains Renaud Polly, Watch and e-Communication Project Leader for the CCIEF.
The association has been promoting Chamber actions on Internet for several months. At the end of 2011, it posted a video called "État des lieux de la création d'entreprises en France, 2010" (Review of Business Creation in France, 2010) on Youtube:
This evolution in Chamber communication is set to extend to other services; the association CCI International, the equivalent of the CCIEF for export aid actions, is thus preparing a web video in the same vein. The Assemblée des Chambres Françaises de Commerce et d'Industrie (ACFCI or the Assembly of French Chambers of Commerce and Industry) is considering implementing a web strategy to improve diffusion of the network’s news and events. And while many CCIs still show reticence about joining the social media wave, a few are very active on Twitter and Facebook, seeing these tools as a means to spread news on their activities and to diffuse economic information (from the press, blogs or institutional web sites). Their aim: to assert themselves, on a daily basis, before journalists and companies as key interlocutors on the local economy.
