A volcanic airline
“The regular airline Icelandair celebrated its 75th birthday last year,” declares Bryndis E. Philibert, Sales Manager France at Icelandair. Over the years, the airline has remained one of Europe’s most dynamic, offering high-frequency flights and a wide range of destinations on either side of the Atlantic including Seattle, Boston, Denver, New-York, Paris, Frankfurt and Copenhagen. Today, the airline flies to 38 different destinations.
In 2010, all eyes turned to Iceland when the volcano Eyjafjallajökull erupted, bringing this country of the northern lights and incredible hot springs to the world’s attention. As a result, visitor numbers in Iceland have risen ever since.
