Commerce International: What destinations does Corsair fly to?
SB: Corsair is a regular long-haul airline offering a dense flight programme, uninterrupted yearlong with direct flights and regular timetables. Departing from Orly Sud, Corsair flies to Indian Ocean destinations including Réunion Island, with one night flight per day, direct daily flights to Fort-de-France and Pointe-à-Pitre in the French Antilles, to Africa with Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire, and finally seasonal flights to North America with Montreal.
What services do you offer your business passengers?
Grand Large passengers benefit from special attention as soon as they arrive at the airport. They have access to a dedicated check-in counter and priority access to police and security controls. They have private Corsair lounges at Orly, Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France and shortly, on Réunion Island. Upon their arrival, they are the first to pick up their luggage, and they have a higher baggage allowance than other passengers.
How about on board the plane?
The concept of on-board comfort is at the heart of our strategy to upgrade our services, so that the image of Corsair is no longer associated to that of a chartered airline. Grand Large passengers travel in more spacious cabins in peaceful background tones. They can work or rest in new more ergonomic armchairs that recline up to 126 degrees and have a leg-rest and foot-rest, a ten-inch individual touchscreen, a good-quality headset… The new Grand Large cabin offers extremely rich and innovative in-flight entertainment: as well as enjoying a film selection that is renewed each month, the passenger can book a taxi in advance, read the daily press in digital form (Le Figaro, Libération, L’Equipe…), send postcards in mid-flight, and even play network games with other persons in the cabin.
A wide range of alcohols (Champagne, varied cocktails, wines…) are freely available, as well as a selection of refined meals.
Does this upgrading concern the whole Corsair fleet?
Yes! The first plane was reconfigured in July 2012 and the last will be in May 2013. The Grand Large class is expanding and there are now 26 seats for each of our four Airbus A 330 aircrafts (two of which have been newly constructed by Airbus) and 36 seats for each of our three Boeing 747s.
What are the assets of Corsair compared with its competitors?
The difference is in the small details that count, in particular for the business clientele: private lounges, night flights, new re-configured and thinned-out cabins… But above all, with this upgrading, we can unhesitatingly declare that our value for money is even better than in the past. This is particularly to be appreciated in times of crisis…
How does one could benefit a Grand Large's advantages passenger rates?
All you need to do is to obtain the card of the same name from our web site, from our call centre, or from Corsair sales ounters in airports. Costing 250 euros, the subscription card is valid for one year, allows a 10 % reduction on all our flights, and pays itself off from the very first return trip.
